  1. Wash and clean chicken. Keep in a bowl and add ginger garlic paste, salt, chilli powder and curd…. mix and marinate for 20 -30 mins
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the potatoes (cut in halves)..(add a little colour to the potatoes… optional). Keep aside..
  3. Heat oil in a separate pan add sliced onions and fry till light golden… then add the marinated chicken to it and fry on high flame for 2 mins.. then lower the flame and cover the lid… cook till chicken is tender.
  4. Put cashew and poppy seeds in warm water for 30 mins… grind to a fine paste, then add this paste to the cooked chicken…mix well… add fried potatoes, garam.masala, and crushed kasuri methi to the gravy… mix well… add kewra water and cover the lid… let it simmer for another 5 mins..
  5. Serve hot with naan or paratha.
